Beat Licenses

Understanding your rights when purchasing beats

Standard License Types

When you purchase a beat on Music Connection, you receive one of the following licenses:

Non-Exclusive License

The most common license type. You can use the beat commercially, but the producer can sell it to other artists too.

  • Up to 10,000 streams/downloads
  • Monetization allowed on all platforms
  • Music videos allowed
  • Live performances allowed
  • Producer retains ownership

Premium License

Extended rights for serious releases with higher distribution limits.

  • Up to 100,000 streams/downloads
  • Unlimited music videos
  • Radio broadcasting allowed
  • Streaming platform distribution
  • Producer credit required

Exclusive License

Full ownership transfer. The beat is removed from the marketplace and only you can use it.

  • Unlimited distribution
  • Complete ownership of master recording
  • Beat removed from marketplace
  • All stems included
  • Producer credit optional

What You Can Do

  • Record vocals over the beat
  • Release songs on streaming platforms
  • Monetize on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, etc.
  • Perform live
  • Create music videos
  • Sell physical copies (CDs, vinyl)

What You Cannot Do

  • Resell or redistribute the beat
  • Claim ownership of the beat itself
  • Register the beat composition as your own
  • Remove producer tags (if applicable)
  • Transfer the license to another artist

Producer Credits

Unless you purchase an exclusive license with optional credit, you must credit the producer as follows:
